A New Era of Las Vegas Bites?
Food News Leftovers
🥩 Come winter, the real housewives of Henderson will be on the hunt for a new hang when date-night staple and happy hour hotspot Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martiniscloses for renovations. The 21-year-old steakhouse at Green Valley Ranch is revamping as part of the resort’s greater glow-up (but girl, you still look great at a quarter-century!). Officials say Hank's will be open as-is through fall, and then have a pop-up during renovations — so you'll never suffer without your steakhouse salad, seafood tower, and aggressively-chilled martini 🍸.
💰 Turns out Location! Location! Location! isn't always a silver bullet. Feel Good Brands, which operates multiple food courts in Las Vegas Strip casinos, has financial indigestion and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Eateries are expected to stay open during restructuring, but this illustrates that having Strip real estate alone can’t stop the wave of challenges brought on by changing dining tastes and consumer habits that emerged after 2020.
🐄 Despite legacy buffets slowly exiting Las Vegas casinos 🥺, the city has a reputation to uphold, so “everything in moderation” remains politely declined in favor of all-you-can-eat 🤤. So… if your ideal night involves testing the limits of your appetite, get ready to loosen that belt. Wagyu Factory — from the same folks who brought us Chubby Cattle — will soon sling unlimited bites of Japanese, American, and Australian wagyu 🥩 on Summerlin's doorstep in Boca Park. It's not all 🐮, though, as “vegetables, seafood, appetizers and fried dishes” are also on the menu.
🍸 James Trees’ fancy French Arts District eatery Bar Bohèmeis barely a year old but already making maximalist moves. The restaurant's new-ish three-course prix fixe menu ($80) offers the kind of complete dining experience that subtly suggests, “We're aiming for a Michelin star…” (Worry not: an a la carte menu remains available, exclusively while seated at the bar.) Recently, the spot debuted a Sunday bunch 🥐 🍰 that rivals anything in the city. It's so new that the menu isn't available as of this writing, but our dining spy confirms it is a deliciously decadent French feast. 🇫🇷
🍔 Speaking of James Trees… Chef Stephen Lee (formerly of Esther's Kitchen), is still popping up his In Limbo Burgers at both Petite Boheme (DTLV) and Durango Social Club (southwest). Yes, we’re with you; the city has reached peak-smashburger saturation. But take note: Lee’s Jalapeño Bacon Jam Burger was recently crowned the 2026 Burger Wars Champion by Vegas Foodie Wars. Lee’s slightly expanded food selection now pits his perfectly-executed crispy-edged patties against his tastyhot dogs on what is now a 3x3 menu (3 burgers, 3 fries, 3 dogs). On Mondays and Tuesdays, we can't think of anything better to nosh with the post-grind professionals in the Arts District, as In Limbo’s tasty treats make for a perfect accompaniment to a bone-dry gin martini 🍸.
Spilling the Tea
Arts District Whispers… A trendy, immersive bar has a frustrating habit of deliberately creating a line outside even when seating is plentiful inside 🫠… Another neighborhood bar (one with a unique “Beer, Burgers & Bubbles” menu) is very eagerly anticipating the almost-there completion of a new apartment complex being built 🔨🎧💥 immediately across from its east-facing patio. The neighborhood’s ongoing construction is a challenge that recently pushed a coffeehouse to close its nearby storefront… A popular local deli 🥪 at the south end of Main Street recently closed, but the light-on-detail, heavy-on-hope scuttlebutt says it isn’t simply going away, but rather was purchased 💸 and will rise again…
Yikes 😳 It’s been a hard few weeks for restaurant ̶m̶a̶n̶a̶g̶e̶r̶s̶ thieves, as one has been accused of diverting more than $1 million 💵 in food-delivery funds from a local Japanese hibachi chain directly to his own pocket… And at a local soul-food restaurant, an employee accused management of improperly confiscating 25% of their tips…💰🤬
An industry-insider associated with a well-known Italian restaurant in Henderson recently vented on social media regardng their abject frustration with Las Vegas restaurants, saying, in part, “I saw [the same] appetizer at a local spot being served as well at a high-end restaurant. They probably bought the same item at SYSCO; [the] local spot had it 30% cheaper. There isn’t much creativity and freshness out there anymore… Consumers are being duped.”
Pet Peeve of the Week
“When bars serve mixed drinks with the customer expectation they are being prepared fresh, and you find out they are premade and being poured from a bottle.”

The OG DOG @ In Limbo Burgers
Everyone loves a hefty hot dog, and splitting the sausage makes the result more savory and rich — a significant upgrade from the typical movie theater offering. In Limbo's OG Dog adds a proper slather of mustard, onions and pickles, making this a tasty tribute to the Chicago-style fave we all love. (Also pictured: the Pickler Smash Burger and a perfect side of sea-salted shoestring fries.)
