Free Parking…?

Another week, another reason to eat something great and talk about it. Let’s get into it.

Food News Leftovers

  • Downtown’s high-profile Pepper Club (Check Todd English’s glitzy Arts District restaurant) quietly closed in December after almost 4 years. KJ’s, a new steak and seafood spot, is gearing up to take its place after an ongoing remodel.

  • Ganbei, a new AYCE Chinese eatery, is rolling into the valley in early 2026 with systematic table service, outdoor patio vibes, and unlimited eats at an affordable price.

  • Upscale wine and dine concept Ember & Oak is coming to the Pacific Business Park. It’s a mysterious new restaurant promising crafted plates and serious pours with an emphasis on wine, warm vibes, and chef driven dishes (though menu details are still under wraps).

Spilling the Tea

As a result of all the paid-parking noise, a local law firm is gifting a parking space to one lucky Arts District food & beverage staffer each month…

A hidden North Las Vegas warehouse-located tamale shop is getting lowkey attention. Despite having no seating, the ghost kitchen setup has a robust 4.7 of 5 rating on Google with 211 reviews for their tamales - including trendy birria!

Order of the Week

Ole Manny’s Seafood Shack! When Ash talks tacos, we listen - and then we go order basically all of them (plus the aguachile) at Ole Manny’s Seafood Shack in the Las Vegas Arts District. Not cheap ($7/ taco), but incredibly tasty.
